I’m really sorry for letting you down about tomorrow. I know how much you were looking forward to spending that time together, especially since you took the day off work just for us. I feel awful that I won’t be able to be there like I promised. You deserved that day with me, and I hate that I’m the one who messed it up. I want you to know I’m not trying to make excuses—I take full responsibility for not being clearer about my plans earlier. I thought my dad would be out, and I could have that time with you, but I was wrong. I realize now how frustrating and disappointing this must be for you, and I’m so sorry for the hurt it caused. I really want to make this right. Let’s find another day soon where I can give you my full attention, no distractions, and we can make up for this lost time. I’ll also be more careful about communicating changes like this in advance so you don’t have to rearrange your schedule for nothing.
